01Initial Situation
The marine fan coil control board is a custom electronic solution developed from scratch around the customer's operating requirements. Rather than adapting an off-the-shelf board, the project aimed for an original product with hardware and software designed together.
This approach addressed the fan coil system's control requirements directly against customer requests without being constrained by an existing design.
02Applied Solution
The board's hardware architecture was established, and the PCB carrying all electronic functions was designed from scratch. Component placement, connections and control circuits were prepared to suit the specified operating architecture.
Hardware design was completed to support the requested features. Bare PCBs and the assembled board show two stages of the design's transition to production.

03Technical Assessment
The board's embedded software was also developed from scratch. Control algorithms and device behaviour were programmed according to the customer's requested operating scenarios.
Developing hardware and software together brought all board functions into one custom solution. Having the same team handle both generally makes it easier to align control behaviour with the board's physical architecture.
| Stage | Scope |
|---|---|
| Hardware | Architecture and PCB designed from scratch |
| Embedded software | Control algorithms and device behaviour programmed |
| Manufacturing | 1,000 boards manufactured in series production |
04Implementation Result
After design and production preparation, the control board entered series production. A total of 1,000 marine fan coil control boards were manufactured and delivered to the customer.
The project covered every stage from custom hardware design through embedded software to series production.

05Project Outcomes
“This custom PCB developed for our yacht air conditioning systems lets us control indoor temperature and airflow speed much more precisely. Components selected for marine conditions and stable fan control improved both comfort and system reliability. The technical approach during design and testing clearly demonstrated the care given to our work.”
