01Initial Situation
The Italian-made VİET calibrating sander used in AYDINLI MOBİLYA's production performed surface finishing. Faults affecting operation needed to be corrected so the machine could reliably return to production.
Given the calibrating sander's role in production, the scope extended beyond current faults. Advance assessment of points that could cause future unplanned downtime was also included. Fault repair and predictive maintenance thus became complementary parts of the same work.
02Applied Solution
The machine's operating condition was inspected and identified faults were addressed individually. Issues affecting operation were resolved to restore reliable operation. The existing system architecture was considered throughout, with intervention limited to necessary points.

Predictive maintenance was performed in addition to fault repair. This involved assessing risk areas that could affect operational continuity, aiming to identify potential problems before they developed into faults.
03Technical Assessment
Predictive maintenance assesses equipment condition to identify early signs of potential failure. Unlike corrective maintenance after a fault occurs, it focuses on addressing threats to operational continuity before unplanned downtime.
This approach was applied alongside repairs to existing faults. The work therefore addressed not only current problems but also the machine's future use. Preserving the existing system architecture kept intervention limited to necessary points.
04Return to Operation
Following repair and predictive maintenance, the VİET calibrating sander was operational again. The machine was delivered to AYDINLI MOBİLYA ready for production use.

05Project Outcomes
“While existing faults were repaired, points that might cause future problems were also checked. After repair and maintenance, we returned the VİET sanding machine to production.”
