01Initial Situation
An Ethernet communication fault was identified in the Siemens ET200SP used in SKECHERS SOLELAB's production system. The ET200SP is a distributed control unit that links machine field signals with the automation system.
The Ethernet connection problem therefore interrupted data exchange with the connected system.

02Applied Solution
During diagnosis, the device's Ethernet communication line was examined electronically. Checks identified the issue preventing communication, and the necessary repairs were performed.
Work was completed in accordance with the existing automation architecture and connection arrangement. Electronic repair restored the ET200SP's communication function.

03Technical Assessment
For communication faults, apparent workshop operation does not necessarily demonstrate trouble-free operation in the connected system. The repaired device was therefore not simply delivered; on-site commissioning at the customer's facility allowed its operation within the system to be observed.
- Electronic inspection and repair of the Ethernet communication line
- Device restored the same day
- On-site commissioning at the customer's facility
The ET200SP was reconnected to the machine system, restoring Ethernet communication.

04Commissioning
Diagnosis, electronic repair and on-site commissioning were completed the same day, and the device was delivered operational to SKECHERS SOLELAB.
On-site commissioning verified operation not just as a standalone device but within the connected automation system.
05Project Outcomes
“The ET200SP communication fault was repaired the same day, and the device was recommissioned on site. Checking the system at our facility and leaving it operational made the process easier.”
